PortMe uses Cloudflare Tunnels under the hood, which means you get the same edge network that powers millions of websites. Plus, PortMe has a native desktop experience, custom *.portme.dev domains, and a one-time payment model instead of subscriptions.
No! For free quick tunnels (*.trycloudflare.com), you don't need any account at all. For custom domain tunnels on *.portme.dev, we handle all the Cloudflare configuration for you.
PortMe runs natively on macOS (Intel & Apple Silicon), Windows 10+, and Linux (Ubuntu 20.04+). The cloudflared binary is bundled in the app, so there's nothing extra to install.
Absolutely. All tunnels use HTTPS with automatic SSL certificates. Your traffic is encrypted end-to-end through Cloudflare's network. We never see or store your application data.
Tunnels are active only while the app is running. With Pro, you can enable auto-start to automatically restore your tunnels when you launch the app.
